It’s a steel widespread reputation and full of historic , they call it Damascus Steel or Wootz Steel,it’s a steek made of crucible foundry, forged in low temperature ,pure carbon steel. About the pattern on it , the brightest parts is the hardest Martensite and Cementite , the soft parts is Iron carbide , after etching you can see the Micro-serrated on the edge , its very sharp , though its got a high rate of carbon in it ,but the resilience is very good.
